House rules 2023

 

We ask visitors of MCC Feszt respect the residents and city of Esztergom, by refraining from littering and ensuring the peace of mind of the inhabitants of the city and those who wish to relax during the evening and night.

These house rules contain the rules of entry and conduct for participants and visitors (hereinafter: visitors) to the territory of the MCC Fesztival (hereinafter: Festival or MCC Feszt) organized by Mathias Corvinus Collegium Foundation (hereinafter: organizer).

By purchasing the ticket, receiving the wristband and entering the festival area, visitors also accept the following house rules!

The house rules are available to anyone on the http://www.mccfeszt.hu/ website and can be found at all ticket sales and information points during the festival.

The organizer is entitled to unilaterally modify or supplement the House Rules, any modification or supplement will be published on the http://www.mccfeszt.hu website.

  1. Entry
  1. The festival is free with the exception of MCC Island, which requires an MCC Feszt Pass to enter after 17:00.
  2. Visitors under the age of 18 will receive a separate wristband.
  3. Entry to the MCC Island venues after 17:00 is only possible with a wristband received through the purchase of a ticket under the following conditions:
  • The purchased ticket is non-transferable and non-refundable.
  • The wristband is valid for the programs marked with wristbands in the MCC Feszt program.
  • The organizer will exchange the ticket for wristbands at designated places at the festival (Main Square and MCC Island).
  • The wristband is mandatory to enter and leave MCC Island.
  • Stolen, lost, or damaged wristbands will not be replaced or refunded by the organizer.
  • A damaged wristband (e.g. taped, cut, dismantled, larger than the back of the hand or pulled over the back of the hand) will be considered invalid.
  • Wristbands will be checked by Feszt employees when entering and exiting MCC Island.
  1. Visitors may not enter MCC Island with items forbidden under Feszt house rules.
  2. Children under the age of 14 and persons with disabilities defined in Section 1998 (23) of Act XXVI of 1 on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and on Ensuring Their Equal Opportunities may only enter the closed program free of charge with an adult capable of acting, and may only stay with adult supervision. Adults under guardianship due to the limitation or exclusion of legal capacity may also only stay at the closed program under adult supervision. The escort must have a wristband obtained through purchasing a ticket. The supervising adult is responsible for the person being escorted.
  3. It is forbidden to enter the closed, closed areas of the festival by vehicle without the permission of the organizer. Persons with a driving permit are also obliged to fully comply with the provisions of the highway code in these areas.
  1. Camping facilities
  1. The organizer provides free camping and sanitation at Gran Camping for participants with the MCC Feszt Pass as follows:
  • The daily pass permits camping on the date indicated on the wristband from 14:00 until 10:00 the following day,
  • The three-day pass permits camping for the entire duration of MCC Feszt, but no later than July 31 at 12:00.
  1. In the event that the visitor violates the campsite rules or is in the area without authorization, the campsite staff may ask the visitor to leave the area.
  1. Value/luggage storage
  1. Please protect your valuables at the festival!
  2. MCC Feszt will operate a valuables and luggage storage (hereinafter: safe deposit box) at the entrance to MCC Island, next to the ticket office.
  3. The organizer is solely responsible for items placed here.
  4. In case of damage to objects placed in the safe deposit box due to unavoidable external causes, the organizer shall not be held liable.
  1. Capacity
  1. Some venues of MCC Feszt, such as the Kapcsolatok Háza Venue, have limited capacity.
  2. In accordance with security regulations, when the maximum capacity of each venue is reached, the promoter may restrict access to the given program. In this case, we ask for your understanding and request polite behavior towards the organizer's staff, collaborators and employees of the security service providing the festival.
  1. Forbidden Items
  1. It is strictly forbidden to bring objects which can injure or harm other visitors into the programs and venues of MCC Feszt.
  2. In particular, firecrackers, rockets, pyrotechnic devices, objects or devices containing explosive, toxic or flammable substances, firearms, knives with cutting edges longer than 8 centimeters, butterfly knives, spring knives, pepper spray, lead batons, vipers, metal chains longer than 50 centimeters, throwing stars, slingshots, percussion and cutting instruments, objects considered weapons or other devices particularly dangerous to public security shall be prohibited from entering the festival's programs as required under current Regulation No 175/2003. (X. 28.) Government decree – to bring in objects that are particularly dangerous to public security.
  3. In Hungary, the consumption and possession of both light and hard drugs is a criminal offence, and their import and use is strictly forbidden on MCC Feszt premises.
  1. Sanitary facilities and use of toilets
  1. For users of the campsite service, daily cleaning is possible in the showers located on Gran Camping.
  2. In connection with MCC Feszt, the organizer provides free toilet use for visitors in Széchenyi Square, the Kapcsolatok Háza Venue,EDU Promenade and MCC Island.

We kindly ask visitors to use only the toilets and showers provided for this purpose and to ensure their cleanliness.

  1.  Rules of conduct
  1. Visitors are obliged to comply with all applicable laws, local regulations, decrees and house rules at the festival and program venues.
  2. Visitors are obliged to refrain from any conduct that may cause harm, death, property damage, or violation of their personal well-being.
  3. Furthermore, visitors may not engage in conduct that causes offense to others, is obscene or blatantly anti-social.
  4. During the use of the area where the festival takes place, including the zones designated for camping, visitors are obliged to protect the environment, they must dispose of waste in waste bins and containers placed by the organizer and to use the toilets designated for this purpose to fulfill their health needs.
  5. Visitors are obliged to refrain from any conduct aimed at damaging the equipment, tools, and works of art used for the organization of the festival, in particular it is forbidden to damage the mobile fence, sound system, lighting, stages and their accessories, as well as the public utility network and the related devices. Visitors will be obliged to pay for any damage caused by their actions.
  6. In commercial and catering establishments operating on festival grounds, alcoholic beverages may be refused to be served to persons under the age of eighteen and those visibly intoxicated, and tobacco products are not sold to persons under 18 years of age.
  7. The possession, sale, and consumption of narcotic substances is also prohibited on the festival grounds.
  8. It is forbidden to make fires anywhere on the festival grounds.
  9. Any demonstrations and political movements not related to the organized programs are prohibited at the festival, unless the organizer has given written permission based on prior notification. Participants in demonstrations authorized by the promoter are obliged to comply with these house rules, applicable laws and other terms and conditions set by the promoter. Such demonstrations shall not impede or restrict the festival, organized concerts and other activities, or free movement within the festival premises.
  1. Other rules
  1. Animals cannot be brought into closed program venues, except for assistance and guide dogs as defined by law.

Assistance and guide dogs can only be brought into the closed program area if they have a valid vaccination certificate and a unique identifier (e.g. microchip). The owner of the animal is obliged to use a leash and collar on the animal and must provide the phone number of the organizer available during the festival. The existence of these conditions will be checked at points of entry; in case of any deficiency the Feszt may refuse entry of the animal or ban the animal from the closed program.

Given the unique audiovisual situation of the festival, the use of a muzzle is mandatory for guide and therapy dogs for the disabled, taking into account.

Visitors will be responsible for their assistance and guide dog.

  1. The Visitor may bring dogs to the program venues qualifying as public spaces only in muzzles and with a leash, in accordance with the legal regulations in force.
  2. Unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) may only be brought into the festival area with the prior written permission of the organizer. Visitors must  acknowledges that audiovisual recordings may only be made using drones on and above the festival grounds with the prior written permission of the organizer and in compliance with the relevant legal regulations. The intention to use the drone, its method and planned date must be agreed and approved by the organizer in advance.
  3. For those arriving by car, parking is possible in public parking spaces and parking garages located in the city.
  4. Any comments or complaints about the festival can be addressed to the ticket sales and information point on the festival grounds.
  5. Lost and found items can be dropped off at a ticket sales and information point, and lost items can also be inquired about here. Found objects will be kept for 7 days after the festival and inquiries regarding lost items can be directed to info@mcc.hu e-mail address.

IX. Payment at MCC Feszt

All commercial units at the event are cashless, cash can only be paid at the box office and at the top-up points.

Purchases can be made by credit card.

 

X. Recup

The festival has a repo cup system. The price of the festival cup is 600 HUF. The festival cup is non-refundable, but can be exchanged for a new cup or token when purchasing a drink.
